DELTA LOOP

Although the DELTA LOOP antenna is relatively known for its excellent performances as regards remote contacts, very few are the OM to use this astonishing air.
Of a manufacture being able to appear a little difficult, this Rolls of the DX does not remain less realizable about it by everyone who has enough time, space and the means necessary.
This is why, in order to answer a frequent request of the operators whom I cross on the waves, I decided to announce my personal experiment through this heading dedicated to the realization of the antenna which I now regard as the queen of the DX.

In the following pages that you will consult, you will see that I approach in manner succinte very the theoretical aspect of this antenna. Not because that is not enriching, but quite simply because several works one already describes this part and I prefer to invite you to refer there to have further information. I wanted to privilege the practical approach of the antenna by presenting some examples of personal achievements to you.
In order to target a maximum of readers, who they are CB enthusiasts or radio hams. For that, I chose to describe you two types of directing antennas delta loop.

First of all, on the CB band and amateur 10 m because the differences brought being very tiny from the point of view of dimensions and the practical realization are identical this realization will satisfy I on the many ones am impassioned.
Then, I will present another design, dedicated to you this time only to the radio hams, since it is about a stack VHF of 2 times 5 elements on the tape of the 144 MHz.
This last application, will be to find are utility as well of use on various relays VHF, as in direct communication and even for the transmissions by satellites.

Note : You will be able to find suppliers of tubes and shaped aluminium, coliers of tightening, screws and bolts STAINLESS or steel, aluminium or copper, steel wire rope by consulting the internet.
It is significant before choosing materials for the realization of your antenna to take account of all the environementaux factors well. Indeed, if your antenna is intended to remain with deumeure and even if it will not be used that within the framework of a specific activity (contest, activity DX, IOTA, etc), your realization will have to provide its function under sometimes severe conditions.
